Today we faced a strong Stalybridge Celtic Side, it was a game of 2 halves. We began the first half brightly with several opportunities and should have been 2 - 0 up only for our efforts to go wide of the target. Although Stalybridge grew into the game they wasn't creating anything and we still managed to control the first half and were unlucky to go in half time level 0-0. Second Half was like somebody flipped coin, Stalybridge now going down hill second half played the slope even better than we did in the first half and looked a real threat everytime they broke into our half but some resolute defending and goalkeeping kept the scores level. We could have nicked it when we went close with 2 set plays but the woodwork came to Stalybridge rescue and another header whisked past the post. Late on though it took a great save from Macormac to deny a late surge from the home side. The game finishing 0-0 and a fair result in the end.
